Having an authentic and meaningful experience of Tisha B'Av in the modern world is always a challenge. This year, on Tisha B'av afternoon, our congregation will be viewing a truly extraordinary film that is sure to deepen your appreciation of the significance of the day. "Jeremiah", starring Patrick Dempsey, is an emotionally intense and dramatically powerful film that presents the life and career of the prophet Yirmiyahu (Jeremiah) and his unsuccessful struggle to prevent the destruction of the First Temple. You do not want to miss this memorable and educational film! "Jeremiah" will be shown at Magen David Sephardic Congregation on Tuesday, July 20th at 6PM, followed by a brief discussion followed by Minha with Tallit and Tefillin at 8PM.
